King Fahd Causeway, Saar

A 25 km (16 mi) long motorway, King Fahd Causeway was built as an attempt to connect two countries and make their relations even better than before. The idea was first discussed in 1968 among the rulers of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, a committee of experts, and even the World Bank, leading to the causeway's opening in 1986. Since then, citizens of both countries and countless tourists have benefited from the convenience, whether heading on road trips, to vacations, or for work. You can take a taxi and go for a 40-minute drive along the causeway, during which you can enjoy the view of the seemingly endless sea, the sky, and the sight of the two countries. • the main difficulty is to understand that you are already on the border with Saudi Arabia))). toll road (only on the way there) - 2.5 dinars, but if you go three, as we - not a substantial fee at all

  • This place is really beautiful. It is a lovely Bridge. Had awesome time while travelling from Saudi to Bahrain. One of the easiest and convenient. Avoid weekend. Mostly Rush hours.  more »
