Marvel at one Baku's biggest mosques, Taza Pir Mosque, built in 1914 on the site of a much earlier mosque. The grand structure flanked by twin minarets is a key landmark in the city centre and a place of pilgrimage for local Muslims. Its construction was financed by a famous Azeri philanthropist called Nabat Khanum Ashurbeyova.
