Hundertwasserhaus, Vienna

#21 of 966 in Things to do in Vienna
Take a journey into a country of creative architecture that stands in harmony with nature at Hundertwasserhaus. Austrian painter Hundertwasser conceived this House for Human Beings and Trees, which opened in 1986. See how the artistic vision came to life in architectural features: undulating floors, indoor trees with limbs extending from windows, and roof gardens. Have a drink in the cafe in front of this expressionist landmark of Vienna. The stores across the street offer artist- and house-related souvenirs. This is one of Vienna's most visited buildings and a part of Austria's cultural heritage. • This time to Victoria's hundred water House, to come here to sit on the subway is a good choice, I use the wobble pass for free on the road, after the car to walk some way, the discovery of the beginning of the crowd flocked, the representative has arrived. " Called The Hundred Water House, which is actually an artist's building creation, the appearance is really interesting, when the weather is good, the sun shines through the green leaves, feel very comfortable, according to the building is a person, every day by a vote of the audience around must be very noisy, because there are really a lot of people, the team will come to this point, stay not too long, is to take pictures, The art village on the side, in fact, is the strikers of the business scene.

  • It is a set of colourful houses with unusual shapes reminiscent of Gaudí's style, full of greenery and with strange trees both inside and outside. The village includes these colourful houses, a gallery with small shops, bars and a museum. Really quaint. Advice to move to see it

  • Cool place to visit. It offers a different style from the rest of Wien’s architecture. The building intends to show a balance of men and plants. I would recommend it in case you like architecture and have some extra time, as it is a little far from the “main” attractions.
  • The way how the flat was designed is so unique, love the bold colour! Inside is just as ordinary as any other flats I guess. There is also a village next to it for tourists. Great imagination.
