Ski, snowboard, and hike on the wide glacial slopes of Kitzsteinhorn. Use the railway to reach the summit at 3,035 m (9,957 ft) above sea level. Find the logbook in the cabinet attached to the iron cross, and leave a personal note. Trek down the sides of the mountain, but look out for snow holes and slippery slopes. Enjoy music, drinks, and snacks at the bar or the huge sun deck at 2,500 m (8,202ft) above sea level. The snow park features various rails, tubes, wall rides, and kicker lines for beginners and pros. Some tracks occasionally close because of strong winds. See Kitzsteinhorn and all Kaprun has to offer by arranging your trip with our Kaprun route website.

You can’t go wrong with Kitzsteinhorn. Whether it’s the winter or summer. This is a must visit place if you are near by. I visited it many times. You will enjoy the panoramic views of the mountains and the snow. You will also be part of history when you take your picture with the 3029 meters Top of Salzburg Sign. You will have to go on three cable cars before reaching the sign and to get down to the ice arena you will go down using a cart. There are few things to do over here. Of course, you must have fun sliding on the snow and then try going through the downhill cave to enjoy another set of views. There’s also a cinema showing a short film about the major attraction. Having coffee during winter is one thing that I will never miss! Tip for Tour Guides: You’ll get a free pass for you and your bus driver if you opt for entering as a group. And don’t forget to tell your group to return the plastic cards to get their €2 back!
