Burg Hardegg is one interesting castle to visit because of its location (near the Austrian-Czech border) and the role it played in the Austrian Empire history. Some rooms in the castle showcase panels featuring information and media/reproductions giving a bit more information about the families that own it over the ages. There's a permanent expo about Emperor Maximilian of Mexico, and a nice little church. The most interesting part is probably the view of the castle with its surroundings. Entry is only 7,5€, and a regular visit lasts 1 hour to 1 hour 1/2.
Mystical place. Love it here. Atmosphere is amazing, fresh air etc.
