Stand on top of the 48 m (157 ft) high circular Shot Tower to enjoy 360-degree views of the Derwent Estuary. Climb the timber staircase with over 300 steps to the gallery on top.   • We visited the Shot Tower cafe yesterday for morning tea. The last time was 17 years ago. Scones were just as good as we remembered! Try the date scones...they are the best ........but they do have...  more »

  • Been here many times over the years. The new owners are very friendly & genuine people. A very interesting climb to the top & great fun for the kids. Topped off with excellent, fresh traditional scones outside in the lovely gardens all makes for a great family outing.
