#1 of 7 in Things to do in Mount Field National Park
A white sheet of water spills over the edge of a siltstone cliff face at Russell Falls. A popular sight for visitors since its discovery in 1856, this idyllic natural setting is a perfect spot to snap a picture or two. The hike is paved and makes for easy walking through the sassafras and gum trees towards the sound of rushing water. • Best waterfall walk in Tasmania. Be sure to do the walk at night to see the glow worms. Walkway wheelchair passable and great for all abilities and ages.
  • It was like a fairy tale, such a beautiful place. Must visit. One good thing about this place is it is accessible by wheelchairs as well. It's one of the very few places where elderly people can go walk and see and enjoy.
