Kooroomba Vineyards and Lavender Farm, Mount Alford

The dining room here is special. Yes, there are GREAT views of the surrounding valley and lavender plants. But the food was even better than the views. Our two meals were fresh, inventive and lovely, and we kept exclaiming with delight as the salad., entrees and deserts were consumed. The green salad had healthy green, perfectly crispy and dry leaves, with blanched green beans and a dash of red onion and sliced cucumbers-- topped with a perfect Lavender honey and mustard seed dressing. It was amazing. Perfect. The entrees we had (slow cooked, fork tender beef cheeks, and linguine with fresh mushrooms and a touch of smoked salmon) were outstanding in flavor and had great side accompaniments. Deserts were Killer. (Lavender ice cream, and sticky date pudding) Reasonable pricing, friendly and efficient staff. One of the best meals I've had in years. They have nice wines too, and a modern, clean and gorgeous building. Wow.

I came here with friends to have a look at the venue for their wedding and to taste the food based on the menu they selected. The food and dessert was 10/10! The Kooroomba brand wine wasn't the best, no matter how much our waitress talked it up. We all ordered different foods and desserts but the lavender ice cream was everyone's favorite! The mountain scenery around the restaurant was beautiful even thought the wind knocked us around most of the walk. We saw a few wallabies lounging around the vineyards and lavender bushes while we had lunch. We missed a few utensils and the wait staff wasn't very attentive so we got up to get our own forks. The tables are small so we had to maneuver our glasses and plates around quite a bit. They had live music which was great! The overall experience was great! Definitely recommend 👌🏻
