We visited this walk a month or so before the big fires. We heard from friends it could not be saved from the fires. It was an inspirational place to photograph at and the pines impressive. Have... more »

We were due to visit the sugar pines Mid-January 2020 but the severe bushfires destroyed the walk before we could get there. The trees cannot be saved and so the walk is now closed. more »

Such a magical spot for photos. Every photographer should make the effort to check it out. The angles and light is perfection and late afternoon gives the best effects. I can't wait to go back in the snow. Wow! These photos are just from my phone. The photos of my family from my 5d mk4, are spectacular. it's worth walking to the top to see the view over the mountains.

I loved the coolness and quiet in the Sugarpines walk. Very different atmosphere to anywhere outside in the middle of summer. I can't wait to get up there in winter. It's very contemplative and reserved a nice escspe.
