Glenorchy Art and Sculpture Park, Glenorchy

We walked to the red pier area, was surprised by this area, the colours different times of the day were fantastic, the area here was well maintained and was surprised to find toilets this end, they were clean etc.

What a shame such a promising idea and project seems to have stopped after making some sort of a start. Waste of time to even go out there unless you're already out there just for a walk maybe with your 🐕 because at the moment it's nothing but metal and concrete. It's as if they made a bit of a start and then worked out there's no money for this project. Maybe planting the whole area out with native vegetation and nice wide pathways meandering their way around it. Plus there's some ideal areas out on the point that maybe a few public barbecues could be installed attract regular visits from Tasmanian locals as well as tourists. No reason that art and sculptures couldn't still be the major part & central theme as well one doesn't and shouldn't be exclusive from the other.
