  • Wow... What an awesome set of beaches and bays. Come down to Lucky Bay for a coffee and hang out with the kangaroos - just don't feed them If you'd like to really stretch the muscles - climb Frenchman's Peak. Drive back from Le Grande Beach to Wylie Bay on the sand, faster and a lot more fun than being on the road.
  • I left Esperance today at 3PM intent on catching a sunset at Lucky Bay, i arrived approx 60km and 1 hour later ( 4 PM) at Cape Legrand National Park to be greeted by a rude ranger who was busily sweeping a pile of small stones ..in a gravel car park?? He rudely said its 15$ for day access, i said there is only one hour of sun left , he then said its best to return back to Esperance and come back in the morning for a full day..(a 120km round trip for nothing) from what i could gauge this was the way this ranger made extra $ by pocketting the $15 ..this is all that is wrong with Australia, why do we need to charge $ for nature to keep morons like this in a job.. the aussie way would be to let you through ..i left vowing never to pay for another over budgetted national park in Australia again ....disgusting behavior.
