IT is worth the time if your in angaston on the weekend to check out the shop it only costs a gold coin donation to wander through and watch the smithys in action they have a little museum outside in.... more »

This is truly worth a visit. Saved from destruction by volunteers 30 years ago. Lovingly restored and WORKING. A credit to the people who have put this back together. Now open on weekends and public holidays. A MUST SEE in Angaston.

Love this place, a photographers candy store. My husband is also biting at the bit to get back there to explore some more. Since posting this we managed to get back, I was surprised to see so many changes, it made the trip even more worth while. It was also great to see that the current volunteers are still expressing so much pride and exuberance in the place. Always a pleasure and if you haven't visited in a while go and check out the changes.
