  • This was a very large monastic complex housing up to 90 monks but it has unfortunately fallen into disrepair and has become an attractive ruin with grass growing on the few remaining roof areas. It is...  more »
  • The Church is not far away, in 3-4 kilometers from the village, Shatin, from which it got its name. A place rich in history, but now does not act as a church and a place not very well kept, the weeds growing on the roof. Nearby there is a fortress.

  • There are three ways to get to this place. The one is from Spitakavor monastery, the other two are from the village Shatin. The people of Shatin claim that the site was once the university of Gladzor. The monastery, unfortunately, lies in ruins... Getting there will be the best part of your journey!
