  • Another Armenian monastery which is a true jewel of Christian architecture. In reality, these monasteries are the most important attraction of the country.

  • On this little monastery cemetery buried famous born Kalantarovyh, from which, as saying local, comes the father of Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. On several monuments there are ceramic photo. Very atmospheric place

  • There are two buildings. The first has one chamber, the entrance to which is through a very small doorway that an adult will have difficulty getting past. The second building has two chambers and is still in use: there were candles burning inside on a Friday afternoon. The exteriors of both buildings are surrounded by scaffolding. A trail circles the compound, and there is an impressive statue at the compound's entrance. There are information panels about the monastery but not about the statue.
  • Calm and serene, at the end of a hill road, surrounded by scenic views.
