  • Very interesting looking building. Unfortunately falling apart. Doesn’t look like anyone has realized the at least touristic value.  more »
  • This Russian Orthodox Church in the name of St. Nicholas was built in 1846 for the Orthodox believers of the village Nikolaevka (now the village of Amrakitz), founded in the XIX century by Ukrainian Cossacks. Before the earthquake of 1988, the temple was active. The building that has survived to this day is probably built in the 10s. The XX century is a remarkable example of the non-Russian direction of modernist architecture. The church suffered greatly during the Spitak earthquake. At the moment it is in an emergency condition and is not recoverable. According to experts, now it is more expedient to demolish this church and erect a new one than to restore the old one. So hurry to see! The access road is good, asphalted.
