Housed in an impressive building, Museo de arte Tigre combines art with stunning architecture. The museum finds its home in a former social club for elite Argentines, an elegant example of neo-classical architecture. Notice the luxurious details like iron gates, red oak floors, and bronze and gold leaf decorations. The museum changes exhibitions regularly, so there’s always something new to see, from sculptures to paintings. The main collection features Argentine art of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Its a nice museum wuth a fine art expo. It is a gorgeous building with nice gardens and great view to the La Plata river
The 19th century Tigre Club was transformed into the Tigre Museum of Fine Art in 1998. The Club was built to promote recreation and sports - in particular rowing and tennis. It’s an outstanding example of French neo-classical architecture. The promenade that juts out from the second floor is amazing and so is the art inside.
