Divine forests, lakes Gutierrez and Mascardi and streams until you reach Pampa Linda, where you wonder why you don't stay there any longer. Then the striking Black Blizzard (the largest in the world), cerro-volcan Tronador and the birth of Manso, cream green. Best excursion. YOU HAVE TO GO WITH GUIDES, you learn more
I went here In August during there winter, and it was great, there was some snow in back in the town. But not much, here there was tons to play with. Also, the glacier was pretty, the lake was frozen and you can see the you are in the middle of the andes, and you can feel you are in a glacier. It was quite cold though at around -6:)
Imposing. Beautiful. Getting to it is a must-see adventure. I made it in a Renault 12 without any inconvenience. Its name is due to the thunderous sound that causes the release of large blocks of ice from its high glaciers on its slopes; this occurs most often in times of thaw from November/December.
