Trip Planner: South America / Argentina / Northern Argentina / Province of Salta / Salta / Dique Cabra Corral
Participate in extreme sports during your trip to Dique Cabra Corral, a reservoir that provides hydroelectric power for a large portion of northern Argentina. While farmers also use this water for irrigation, tourists visit the area for its variety of outdoor sports. Trek through the forests around the reservoir or venture out on the water with a rented boat or kayak. For something even more adrenaline-inducing, arrange for bungee jumping or rappelling experiences in the nearby mountains. Beautiful scenery. Very winding route. Keep in mind that you can't get to the dam. You get to the landfill and you can't access it. There is a dirt road to get down to the river and see the weir and the front dam. Anyway the way up there is very beautiful. All asphalted. It is necessary to travel with great caution because it is a cornice road and a landslide area.
I fell in love. It's huge, beautiful, has a place to eat. To park. You can take a boat ride among others. 😍 ❤
