Pay a get-well-soon visit to recovering animals at Guiraoga. The sanctuary, located near the famous Iguazu Falls, nurses a range of wounded animals back to health, then prepares them for re-entry into the wild. You can see the adorable animals in their natural habitat on a guided tour around the sanctuary, which might be available in English, depending on your guide. Keep an eye peeled out for colorful toucans and parrots as you walk through the park. The money from your entrance ticket goes towards supporting the sanctuary's work. • Guiraoga is a very cool initiative of animal preservation that in many cases are endangered the ride lasts 90 minutes and is done with a guide that shows how they rescued the animals and all the care with them.

  • The park is beautiful, ample, and impresses by the strength with which nature presents itself... Huge trunks, trees over 500 years old! It may bring a good reflection that we, the men, are arming our own ARAPUCA!!! It is worth the visit and a delicious ice cream to close the tour!!

  • The park is awesome and the visit is worth it, for the small price. There are all kinds of animals, which were rescued from dangerous situations, and cannot be released into wildlife, as they would die. The animals are healthy though, and you can observe them almost in their natural habitat. There are mostly birds and some mammals.
  • Lovely experience doing the guided tour. We had a really good time learning about the noble ways workers in the refuge help animals to recover and be reintroduced in nature. At the beginning there is a short video introducing the refuge and the activities done there. The tour starts with a short ride on a tractor that takes you to the trail where you begin the walk among the animal cages. The guide tells the story of the animals and why they can’t be sent back to their natural habitats. You will be able to see several species of birds like toucans, parrots, owls, eagles, etc. You can also enjoy having a close view of monkeys in an open cage. Totally recommendable!
