Iguazu Falls, Iguazu National Park

Must see · Waterfall · Nature / Park
At Iguazu Falls, on the border between Argentina and Brazil, experience the raw power of the Iguazu River as it tumbles off the Paraná Plateau into a deep canyon. The river flows over three sides of the canyon, covering a 2.7 km (1.7 mi) stretch of cliffs. Small islands along the plateau edge divide the river into hundreds of separate waterfalls. The tallest plunge for 82 m (269 ft) into the narrow chasm known as Garganta del Diablo, or the Devil's Throat. Walk out onto the lookout point, several feet above the Devil's Throat. The raging torrent throws spray hundreds of feet into the air, so prepare to get wet. To reach the falls, you must pass through a natural park. A train provides rides from the entrance, but the 30 minute walk often takes less time, as it avoids the lines. Keep an eye out for jaguars, toucans, monkeys, butterflies, and more among the lush scenery. For travelers who use our international travel planner, Iguazu National Park holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Iguazu Falls and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • Very close to the airport. You can actually go walking down there. The road is not meant for walking but 3km isn't much either. Plus, you will find lemon trees, mangoes and other fruit trees. I strongly recommend that you buy the tickets online, in that way you avoid the lines, payment through PayPal and they send you the QR code tickets to your mail. As simple as that
  • Falls are breathtaking! Very good touristic structure and logistics. I would recommend taking the tours with a tourism agency .
