Carlos Keen, Carlos Keen

Explore a settlement largely frozen in time at Carlos Keen, with examples of industrial architecture from the early 20th century. Founded in 1875, when workers came to the area thanks to the construction of a railway branch, the town grew in size and population at the beginning of the 20th century, reaching 4,000 inhabitants. The village now has a population of around 500, with many people leaving to seek employment in the capital since the 1940s. An old station, an attractive church, and a public library stand out as the village's most distinctive buildings, all of which come under heritage protection. • Ideal to spend the day. A few kilometers from Luján. It has a beautiful train station, where there is a craft fair, a huge property with free parking. There is a good gastronomic offer, but if the plan is more austere, you can bring folding chairs and spend the day having something enjoying the shows q are provided in the center.

  • Very nice and familiar. Many restaurants with homemade cold cuts. There's also a fair with very nice stalls
