  • It is a stately building from the late sixteenth century. From 1702 it became the headquarters of one of the oldest and most continuity parliaments in Europe, the General Council, created in 1419. It is open to the public with a tour service in several languages. In December 1702, the General Council acquired the Casa de la Vall. The building not only consisted of the place of meetings and reference for the representatives of the parishes-the Andorran territorial division-, who dealt with the issues affecting the territory of the valleys, but also was intended as the place of justice, as the reads in the inscription of the shield over the front door, "... Iustitia sedas." The needs of growth led to the use of other premises until the construction of a new space for the parliamentary institution in 2011.

  • Much better than I expected, very unique place. Totally worth the tour
  • Historic house. We didn't visit inside because it required a guided tour and due to time constraints we decided to skip it.
