It is the mythical hoggar with its volcanic peaks from the iconic reliefs (Lharane, Adaouda, Illamane, Akar-Akar, Tahat). The altitude is 2.180 meters and in the Hermitage live the Little Brothers of Jesus today. Sensational and exciting the game of light and shadows seen at sunrise and sunset. The temperature range is high. Today there is a small relais on the beach under the hermitage with only the indispensable.

Very beautiful place to see sunset and sunrise and very beautiful mountains , it's 2700m altitude . I recommend it and if i have another chance I'll visit it again.
it is and it will be always the most sacred and spiritual place I have ever visited. At the Assekrem you can find an old church of Cristian believers , the fathers there are very hospital and nice! if reach the top of the mountain you will feel the real cold weather of the Sahara when it is -5 during it nights. If you want to enjoy the best sunrise or sunset in the World, Assekrem for sure will be your first destination. Just bring you-self and enjoy your stay at the cold mountains
