Chihuly Garden and Glass features a comprehensive exhibit showcasing the work of Dale Chihuly, a renowned American glass sculptor and entrepreneur. Despite the considerable technical difficulties of working with blown glass, Chihuly uses it as a primary medium for large installations and environmental artwork, some of which you can see at this gallery. The artist's complex and colorful glass sculptures fill the eight-room greenhouse. Stop by the adjacent garden to see a blend of nature and more blown-glass creations. • Very beautiful and colorful pieces. Especially those blended with the natural beauty of the garden. Brilliant.  more »

  • Beautiful glass work. So many intricate and fascinating pieces. The outside exhibits are particularly impressive. Staff members will take a picture of you for free in front of one of the better displays. Do yourself a favor and buy the City Pass. You'll get to see four more attractions for just a little bit more. It also happens to be a stones throw away from the Space Needle, the Museum of Pop Culture, and the Seattle Children's Museum. A perfect addition to your vacation itinerary.
  • What do you say about this place that hasn't already been said? I loved every minute, but enjoyed the outside garden area much more than the inside. Beautiful, and I could have sat out there for hours, even amidst the crazy misty rain that wouldn't let up. And if you're there, make sure to leave yourself enough time to head to the space needle. The gift shop rocks as much as the one does at Chihuly!
  • I have visited this wonderful place at least half a dozen times on various trips to visit family in Seattle. It is absolutely wonderful! Every time I visit, I thoroughly enjoy myself and nothing makes me happier than getting to be the person who introduces these beautiful works at this gorgeous place to a new person. I hope to visit again soon.
  • I lived in Seattle for five years before I checked this place out. I can't believe I waited that long. It is well kept and has a nice logical flow. The glass is so magical. The colors are amazing. We ate at the cafe and were impressed by that as well. The gift shop was full of cool stuff too. It was an all around cool experience. Parking can be hard, so leave some time to find a good spot.
  • Great and fun day visiting. Really nice art work. Loved the Persian Ceiling and the outdoor exhibits. Outstanding exhibits all the way around. Well-managed museum and well-worth the visit. Just be careful not to touch and break the delicate, expensive glass artwork! Take your camera or take pictures with the photographers on-site who will take and email you your pictures for free! ๐Ÿ‘

Where to stay in Seattle

Famous for its architecture, Seattle's downtown area features a range of lodging options, including high-end hotels offering expensive rooms with views over Elliott Bay. Remember that despite their prices, many hotels in this waterfront district provide rather small rooms. If you need more space but don't want to break the bank, head out of downtown to some of the city's outlying neighborhoods. Seattle's diverse suburbs offer affordable bed and breakfasts, providing you with all the comforts of home and allowing you to see what local life is really like.
