Trip Planner: Europe / Turkey / Turkish Mediterranean Coast / Antalya Province / Manavgat / Manavgat Waterfall and River
Surrounded by shops, cafes, and restaurants, Manavgat Waterfall and River combines natural beauty with a host of entertainment and dining options. Although the falls are only a few meters high, the wide riverbed and fast-flowing blue water create an impressive spectacle. The river is refreshingly cold, welcoming overheated visitors to dip their toes in the adjoining ponds. On the banks you can rest in shaded teahouses, where you can sample a traditional Turkish tea or coffee alongside landscaped gardens. Manavgat Waterfall and River Reviews
На арендованном автомобиле возвращаясь в отель с дамбы и свернув не на ту дорогу увидели большую парковку и много автобусов. Решили остановиться и посмотреть куда прибыли. Перед поездкой на дамбу нам ... more »The rented car back to the hotel with dikes and turning the wrong way saw a large car park and lots of buses. Decided to stop and see where profits. Before the trip to the dam, we were told that there is a waterfall not far from it and we wanted it to look. Went to the Park, many vacationers local families with children, Cook meat, communicate, have fun kiddies. We walked through the Park, polovili at yourself oblique views and understood that went wrong). After a long search found the entrance and went to the observation deck. On the grounds many lovely people. But the waterfall, I would even say the water level drop me not impressed. In the end, watched 5 minutes and went to the hotel.

Lovely stop if your visiting the area. Beautiful falls and fast flowing water. One viewing platform is quite low and you can get your feet wet when water is high as it flows over the top but be warned its freezing!
Came here during high water levels, so waterfall wasn't as epic as some of the photos I've seen. Still, it's a nice place to visit, enjoy the beauty and have a picnic. Water level was so high that it was flowing over the viewing areas.
Manavgat Waterfall on the Manavgat River is near the city of Side, 3 km (2 mi) north of Manavgat, Turkey. Its high flow over a wide area as it falls from a low height is best viewed from a high altitude. The white, foaming water of the Manavgat Waterfalls flows powerfully over the rocks. Near the waterfalls are shady tea gardens providing a pleasant resting place. The Oymapinar Dam is located 12 km (7 mi) to the north of the river. During floods, the Manavgat Falls may disappear under high water. The waterfall was depicted on the reverse of the Turkish 5 lira banknotes of 1968-1983. (WikiWand)
We were very dissapointed with the waterfall- the territory was very small - too many people. The terrace to watch the waterfall is very narrow and overcrowded. The entrance is around 20 Turkish lira. If you walk just 5 min upper the road from the main entrance, you can watch the waterfall for free :) We were expecting some wildlife - but instead very touristic destination. No hiking possible, again Turkish shops and mainstream stuff :(
The Manavgat Waterfall situated on the Manavgat River is near Side town. It is not a big waterfall, but it is a nice place to visit. The locals love to have a barbeque in the forest nearby.

Where to stay in Manavgat
Despite being a prime tourist destination because of its neighboring waterfalls, the town of Manavgat offers little in the way of accommodations. Instead, consider the coastal town of Side, just 2 km (1.24 mi) southwest of Manavgat. Here you'll find many options, including four-star resorts and mid-range hotels along the sandy beaches. The cape is home to more budget-friendly options--a handful of hostels and guesthouses. Stick to the cape to be within walking distance of restaurants, while not being too far from Manavgat. The waterfalls sit directly north of Manavgat, so allow for a little more travel time if you stay in Side.
