If you are flying in from Mexico, the closest major airport is Indira Gandhi International Airport. In November, daily temperatures in New Delhi can reach 33°C, while at night they dip to 15°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 7th (Thu) to allow time for travel to Leh.

The former capital of the Kingdom of Ladakh, Leh possesses a historic old town area marked by stupas, monasteries, and traditional mud-brick houses.
When in Leh, make a side trip to see Hemis Monastery in Hemis, approximately 56 minutes away. Spend the 11th (Mon) among lush scenery at Zanskar the Virgin Valley. There's still lots to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Thiksey Monastery, examine the collection at Hall of Fame, don't miss a visit to Confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers, and pause for some photo ops at Shey Monastery.
