A charming historic town with many sacred sites cradled in a verdant valley, Paro offers a scenic base to explore the important Buddhist attractions and pristine nature around it.
Get outdoors at Royal Thimphu Golf Course and Motithang Takin Preserve. Do some cultural sightseeing at Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche Memorial House and Paro Taktsang. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Paro: Thimphu (Centenary Farmers Market, Simply Bhutan Museum, & more). There's more to do: explore the activities along Paro River and take in the views from Tachogang Lhakhang Bridge.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major airport is Paro Airport. In May, daily temperatures in Paro can reach 72°F, while at night they dip to 54°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 20th (Sun) early enough to travel back home.
