Famous for the groves of coconut trees from which it takes its name, Kovalam offers a long, white sandy beach on the Arabian Sea.
On the 15th (Fri), examine the collection at Puthenmalika (Kuthiramalika) Palace, admire the striking features of Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, and then stroll through Kovalam Beach. On the next day, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sreekandeswaram Mahadeva Temple, see the interesting displays at Napier Museum, then admire the masterpieces at Shri Chitra Art Gallery, and finally tour the pleasant surroundings at Lighthouse Beach.
