The train, the tea, and the hills bring visitors to Darjeeling, one of India's most famous and well-preserved Raj-era hill stations.
Start off your visit on the 17th (Sat): meet the residents at Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park and then gain insight at Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. New Delhi to Darjeeling is an approximately 4.5-hour combination of flight and taxi. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and taxi. Finish your sightseeing early on the 19th (Mon) to allow enough time to drive to Gangtok.
