  • Rembrandt's House is located in the eastern part of the city of Amsterdam near the block red light district. The House is very well preserved and original. I advise you to take an audio guide that is free of charge. In it is a Rembrandt lived with his wife Saskia, his son Titus, and lived until he was bankrupt. Open House starts from the kitchen which is generally considered the heart of the House. In addition to the fireplace, dishwasher, the original fountain and tronožnih Chair, there's the bed where she slept with Cook. On the first floor was a salon in which Rembrandt received guests, its working and bedroom, as well as the corner where he was designing their graphics. On the second floor were his atelier, where they stand exposed his palette with colors, and there is a room in which he spelled out all his wealth that is carefully collected. On the third floor has trained his disciples that he was teaching how to crossing out and so they learn the basics of painting. He was 40 and it was his extra money. There are exposed and its graphics that take turns on for a few months that were preserved from the light of damages. At the end of the tours do not forget to leave your email address to which you send the content of your visit-a large number of interesting and educational filmčića.

  • An amazing experience. The audio tour was fantastic and guided us through the multiple levels of his iconic house. The tour is detailed and describes lots of little details that I previously didn’t know. There was also a ‘talk’ about how Rembrandt painted his pictures which was fascinating. To top it off the house had many of his pieces including a small gallery at the top level. Amazing!
  • Nice little museum filled with details about Rembrandt and a day in his shoes. It even includes a free audio tour. The house is pretty big, each room is special in it's own way and the audio tour does a great job at describing it. The museum also has a nice gift shop and locker room to store your stuff.
  • Great atmospheric place and very well done exhibition. I also was lucky to watch a presentation on the colours and oil paint preparation in the times of Rembrandt. They also have a presentation on graphics, but I missed it. Highly recommended!
  • Very interesting. We enjoyed the free audio tour and the little demonstrations going on throughout the museum. The audio tour is self guided. There are little plaques by every room to which you hold the listening device which in turn will play the correct information in your pre selected language. We went on a Sunday morning and it wasn't particularly busy which was a good thing as space is rather limited (as to be expected in an old building). The museum is really well maintained, staff were very friendly.
  • Very educational and informative museum. Afforadably priced entry, and the audio tour is very helpful! It does not take very long to go through, and is definitely well worth a visit! It's also very close to many other museums, so you can visit a few in the same day if you'd like!
