This place is a real tourist trap agreed with private shuttle or taxi services. The price is insane and horrible service has nothing to do with the photos. Chaos of motorboats and stalls all the same who ask for exaggerated prices. If you can avoid it, especially if it is proposed to take taxis from Bangkok

the boat in the canals ride is nice, especially if you do it by canoe and no boat motor. The rear gives sweat houses is very authentic. Otherwise for what there is to buy, negotiate like everywhere in Thailand and it's can be a bit more expensive, but is also the charm of the haggling, we loved it!

The floating markets are a great thing to experience in Thailand. That being said, it is definitely a tourist trap as well. It is fun getting guided through the floating market, but everything is mark...  more »

The floating market is an absolute must to visit. It's an explosion of colour, smells and sights with locals selling their food, fruit and products on long boats down the tiny market canals. Aligning the water are other market traders and cafes selling delicious local food. If you negotiate fairly you can get some great souvenirs. I would definitely return if I get the chance .

Nice experience! Don't expect to stay clean. Its fast from the city limits. Get a good driver since you are paying for transportation. You might get a cranky boat guide so if you have people in your boat who don't want to spend money don't take them with you. It is considered a waste of their time. I kind of agree. Great kickoff finds. Just pay attention to what you are buying. They do haggle so if that bothers you don't go.

I wouldn't go here the second time. We were offered the 'tour' at the airport when we bought local telco numbers. 2000baht for the bus ride of 14 people. It is a scam. They will bring you to places like the floating market and a mini zoo with nothing much to see. Nothing to see here. The ride is along a large monsoon drain with dirty murky water before leading to a small river. All prices are jacked up. From the boat ride (about rm50 per person) to the things sold by farmers and stall owners. You really have to haggle the price. The coconut ice cream was delicious at 100baht. That is rm12.50 which you pay at hotels!

Funny :) Absolutely a place for tourists.. a lot of shops along 2 sides of the narrow river. But they are selling almost the same things! And, you must bargain for each single trade. Overall is good but the river is a bit crowd. I enjoy to see the scenes where never find in Cities! FYI, normal price for soup noodle is just Baht 40. Fried rice Baht 100. Beer is only Baht 60. If seller says the price more than normal price, please negotiate and tell them you know the price ever.

It was really fun riding a canoe and experiencing traffic jam on a canal, that I don't see regularly in my home town. But the market failed to impress, I mean when I visited (10am, July2017) only noticed souvenir shop. That does not give the anticipated feeling of a local market, local people buying groceries or fresh vegetables. Probably original market is long gone, what left is a popular tourist destination filled with souvenir shop!!!
