  • he rule of Thump in Floating Market is to negotiate. Do NOT pay anything more than 50% of the price offered initially. You can ask for as little as 25% of the price offered and the merchant will not b...  more »
  • We visited via a tour bus, with a 1.5 hour drive through the country that showed salt flat fields and a coconut themed rest stop. We were dropped in a parking lot, loaded into a long wood boat, and dr...  more »
  • We visit the floating market here with the family. Enjoyable trip. There are many parking. All sightseeing boat or canoe should be long tail boat. Along the Canal. There are food and drink sales, canoe and Canal, but seems to emphasize the business is sold to foreign visitors more than Thailand. Plentiful, even an ordinary backpack before but it makes travel by canoe is rarely smooth but it is a great and fun experience.

  • This was a good day trip from Central Bangkok. It can be done in as little as half a day. The markets were cool to walk through. Lots of similar stuff and a bit touristy, but still cool anyways just due to the chaotic nature of this place. The people watching here was wonderful and I was able to try some new foods! I'd recommend a visit if you feel like getting out of the city for a bit. There's all kinds of tours that will take you here. Google. Thanks! #MattyWanders 🇹🇭
  • A Great place to experience floating market as a tourist, not a shopper. Paying 600 baht for a motor boat for family of five to tour around the surrounding area for an hour considered reasonable price. I would say motor boat with roof is a better choice, cos the weather is too hot there. Tried to ask price for souvenirs around, it is much expensive than other places. 4 stars for the relaxing moment during the trip and the coconut ice-cream.
  • Try to organise private tour to visit this floating market. You will try to sail around the neighbourhood by speedboat and then later onto the rowboats. Interesting place. Food is great, but don't bother to buy souvenirs from shops along the river. Exactly same product would cost 3/4 less than they ask for!
  • This was a great experience, but we went with a tour guide. Would have been too overwhelming on our own. All items for sale are touristy, food was good (mango sticky rice). It is loud and dirty, but a fun experience. Bring cash and hat! The rowing boats were better than the long boats here (more peaceful)
  • The experience is great, if you're into culture. It's a very interesting place where you'll see a glimpse of Thailand in the past. However, this has become more of a tourist attraction. Prices of goods are higher than what you can find in Bangkok. Same item, but more expensive, so better not fall into tourist traps. Bur there was a shop that sells reasonably priced items. You can't haggle in that shop because prices are also stamped or labelled on the goods, unlike others that you have to ask the shop owner or vendor. You may choose to ride a boat or just walk around the market. But I suggest to just walk along the river and just buy food or maybe, little souvenir items from the floating stalls. Nothing fancy about the boat ride.. Probably, just the experience. If you want to save money, never mind the boat ride especially if you've already rode a boat in your lifetime.
