I visited this Zoo having half a free day in Singapore. I had read here on TripAdvisor and I got curious. It's huge! Too bad that I had to visit perhaps with too much haste. but there is to lose yourself in with a huge variety of animals. Excellent services ... signs and indications everywhere that allow you to turn this great Zoo in perfect autonomy. To visit!

We had read that the zoo is one of the best in the world. It lived up to the reputation. Free range orangutans. Aviary with more than just birds. Getting up close with ring tailed lemurs. Great educational information at each exhibit reminding us, without being preachy, of the role we as consumers play in the vulnerability of many of these beautiful animals.

Awesome place to spend a whole day here. The zoo, Night Safari and River Safari. Night Safari is the best. You can enjoy the world of Nocturnal Animals. Make sure you do a walk inside the zoo even if you do a tram ride first as the trams wont take you to every nook and corners of the zoo. Go for the 7 pm show for Night safari.Make sure to opt for express pas if you are visiting on a busy weekend. Best to visit on a Friday as it have some special shows that day.But if you want little more calm or peace environment go for some other week day. Zoo is also awesome there are more animals in the zoo than in Night Safari.

Excellent zoo, well laid out. Never felt crowded. Food well priced and plentiful (local and western). We paid extra for breakfast with the orangutans which was well worth it for our boys (12 And 9). Give yourself a full day, get there early and plan on leaving around 6pm. There are night safaris etc avail, but we had other plans.

The BEST zoo in the world, period! Warrants an entire day to really have a complete experience. Huge area, wear comfortable shoes to walk around there all day. Families actually spend their entire day there, having picnics in the park's many beautifully landscaped public areas. Or just have meals and snacks at the many restaurant or refreshment kiosks. I would rather spend my money here than at the pricey Universal Studios theme park.

An amazing zoo!! Went here specifically to see the Orangutans and it exceeded expectations. Open air enclosures made you feel very close to the animals and you get a chance to have your photo with them at feeding time. The baby was adorable. The setting/landscaping were beautiful and plenty of other interesting animals that all look well looked after. Easily a 5 star zoo

Where to stay in Singapore

For leading chain hotels, head to the area around Orchard Road, considered the tourist center of Singapore due to its varied selection of rooms, good travel links, and tourist-focused businesses. At the eastern end of the road, you'll find more luxurious and expensive options, with hotels located in impressive colonial-era architecture. North and south of this main artery, backpacker hostels and budget hotels provide affordable rooms with basic facilities.
