Zoo / Aquarium Nature / Park
Appreciate the majesty of exotic and endangered animals at Singapore Zoo, home to the world's largest collection of orangutans housed in free-range enclosures. Other exotic beasts, such as rare white tigers, white rhinos, baboons, and elephants live among the jungle setting. The zoo places a strong emphasis on animal welfare, providing spacious natural habitats. Explore the large zoo easily and beat the heat by riding the shuttle train between habitats. • Let's go back to each passage to Singapore with very great pleasure. Many animals from around the world. Wide variety of monkeys. We're having a good time to observe the orangutan sanctuary. The River safari part is also worth. Huge aquariums including one with several manatees of impressive size.

  • On one hand we really liked this zoo because the animals all seemed healthy, well cared for and with interesting enclosures. It was a pleasant walk around and all the signage was very good. However, o...  more »
  • The night safari is amazing, walking through dark lit paths with the sounds of animals in the distance. Amazing, all zoos should offer night safaris.  more »

  • By far one of my most favorite zoos in the world. They continue to expand and bring fresh ideas and opportunities to see and interact with amazing animals. Try the Rhino feeding by getting there around 1 PM. Go about 30 minutes before the elephant show to see an elephant paint, and make sure to position yourself at the proper seats for elephant feeding. Get tickets and walk the River Safari, especially during a downpour. This place is amazing!
  • While I haven't been to a lot of zoos I have been to a few and this is probably the best of them all. Well laid out so it would be difficult to miss anything and if there is something you are looking for there are signs posted throughout the zoo. There is plenty of shade and places to sit and there are no big hills to climb, all of these things are welcome in this climate. The grounds were extremely clean and all of the animals looked well taken care of. There is even some decent places to eat here, I ate at a place called Ah Meng. It's a cafeteria style setup and the food was reasonably priced considering what you normally pay in places like this.
  • Entrance full of local food choices, prices are affordable. Zoo environment maintain a very high standard of cleanliness, I'm very impressed. Now it's really a good time to purchase 4 parks tickets with their $69 promotion, good deal. Toilets are very clean n even equipped with shower facilities, it's very important for family with young children. Thank you singapore zoo!!
  • Came here with my family on Mother's Day! Very excited about this trip. It has been ages since we came to the zoo together! :) It was very well-maintained and refurbished! Good weather on that day too! Definitely will recommend all to visit! No regrets!
  • Fantastic zoo..! We had breakfast with the orangutans which was a marvellous opportunity to get near such incredible creatures. Also don't miss feeding the elephants - an up close experience indeed- and try and see the lion feeding too. Wonderful day put.

Where to stay in Singapore

For leading chain hotels, head to the area around Orchard Road, considered the tourist center of Singapore due to its varied selection of rooms, good travel links, and tourist-focused businesses. At the eastern end of the road, you'll find more luxurious and expensive options, with hotels located in impressive colonial-era architecture. North and south of this main artery, backpacker hostels and budget hotels provide affordable rooms with basic facilities.
