Flower Dome, Singapore

4.4
#7 of 75 in Parks in Singapore
Step inside a fantasy world of colors and fragrances at Flower Dome, one of the largest glass greenhouses in the world. Explore a range of themed gardens filed with plant life from across the globe, check out the ever-changing seasonal flower displays, and photograph a floral replica of the Eiffel Tower. Reflect on the history of the dome's gnarled olive trees, some believed to be more than 1,000 years old. • The tower is quick, the golf course is very nice, but too fast, visit done before Christmas, a stand with the father Christmas awaits you inside

  • Who has seen nothing of the world, may find may be this interesting. Personally, I was disappointed. Middle of November was a Christmas market and carols played it all the time. Certainly for the Asian culture room very nice but for the normal Europeans rather boring.

  • This is such a lovely area to take time and enjoy flora from around the world. They always dress it up for the local festival (CNY, Diwali, Christmas, etc.) so there's something new to see each time y...  more »

  • The Flower Dome is an air-conditioned dome that is filled with all sorts of flowers, plants and cacti. Every now and then, the feature theme changes, whereby new/seasonal flowers are brought in to match the theme, thus keeping the look and feel of the Flower Dome fresh and interesting and worth visiting multiple times. Inside the dome, it can get quite cold, so it is advisable to bring along a light coat or jacket. The moment you step inside, you will be greeted with the relaxing sweet smell of the flowers in the dome. Do take note that tickets must be purchased prior to entry.
  • A must go when in Singapore. Do go earlier in the late afternoon to enjoy the most out of all the stunning flowers in the dome. It changes several times a year. Also do stay for the 8pm misty mountains. Totally worth it, especially when walking at the top on the elevated sky bridges.
  • You must come and visit this place, here you can see many kind of beautiful plants, flowers. You can smell the scent the moment you enter. This place is also cool because it has Air con inside.
  • This is an idyllic place to loose yourself in a spectacular cool enclosure as you soak in the vibrant colours and hues of flowers of all sorts. Main flower attractions changes every couple of months which made me look forward to seeing something visually captivating and creative.
  • This is one of the most interesting places in the world with thousands of flowers around the world. The dome is so cool with fresh air and full of trees and flowers. The decoration is cute as well. This place is suitable for all ages. Highly recommended!!!1

Where to stay in Singapore

For leading chain hotels, head to the area around Orchard Road, considered the tourist center of Singapore due to its varied selection of rooms, good travel links, and tourist-focused businesses. At the eastern end of the road, you'll find more luxurious and expensive options, with hotels located in impressive colonial-era architecture. North and south of this main artery, backpacker hostels and budget hotels provide affordable rooms with basic facilities.
