Flower Dome, Singapore

4.4
#7 of 98 in Parks in Singapore
Step inside a fantasy world of colors and fragrances at Flower Dome, one of the largest glass greenhouses in the world. Explore a range of themed gardens filed with plant life from across the globe, check out the ever-changing seasonal flower displays, and photograph a floral replica of the Eiffel Tower. Reflect on the history of the dome's gnarled olive trees, some believed to be more than 1,000 years old. • We caught the seasonal exhibit of tulips, but it was rather disappointing in scope and scale. I realize that I shouldn't compare it to Keukenhof but the Flower Dome's effort seemed less than inspired.  more »
  • Compared to the Cloud Forest, the Flower Dome feels more artificial and is much, much less impressive. The flower displays are OK but nothing wow. I would rather have saved the money and for amazing f...  more »

  • Visited with the family, did both the domes, totally worth it. Don't let the crowds scare you, the dome is big and will easily accommodate everyone and doesn't feel claustrophobic. There are restrooms inside the dome, no drinking or eating allowed inside the dome though. The flowers are from all over the world and the whole thing has been beautifully designed. It is a pleasure to walk through, make sure you keep your eyes peeled and look out for little beautiful installations, which can easily be missed. You should allocated about 90 minutes for each dome.
  • I came with my parents and they absolutely enjoyed the visit. The dome were temperature controlled, its cool inside. They held different exhibition every couple of months. At the Begonia exhibition, they used underwater theme to decorate the base level with flowers as corals. It was so colorful, pretty, smartly arranged. We are satisfied with our visit.
  • Nice flower garden. Well built inside of a dome. Has a fee for entry. Always a good place to take picturesque pictures. Filled with vibrant colours. There is even a waterfall inside !!! Must visit if in SINGAPORE.
  • Flower dome inside flower and tree more. Totally inside air-conditioning room and water flow very beautiful . May biology students very use full for flower dome. Inside different area lighting design very beautiful. the fly waking good top nice. This open 2012. Here helper very kindly respond all tourist guide.
  • One of the coolest place in Singapore ever. The plants inside includes exotic flower, trees and plants that you wouldn't easily find in elsewhere. I just love to be there. Taking all the photos and admiring the nature. And since Singapore is such a hot and humid place. It doesn't hurt to stay inside for the whole morning or the afternoon. And then go to party all night long.
