A major pilgrimage center for both Hindus and Buddhists, Bhubaneswar boasts a dazzling number of holy sites, temples, and shrines.
On the 15th (Fri), explore the fascinating underground world of Udayagiri Caves, admire the masterpieces at Museum of Tribal Arts & Artifacts, and then admire nature's wide array of creatures at Nandankanan Zoological Park. On your second day here, admire the landmark architecture of Ram Mandir, Bhubaneswar, take in the dramatic natural features at Dhauli Giri Hills, take in the spiritual surroundings of Mukteswara Temple, then don't miss a visit to Lingaraja Temple, and finally admire the striking features of Raja Rani Temple.

Bengaluru to Bhubaneswar is an approximately 3.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. Plan for somewhat warmer nights when traveling from Bengaluru in September since evenings lows in Bhubaneswar dip to 29°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Sun) so you can drive to Puri.

An important place of Hindu pilgrimage, Puri features a wealth of holy and historic sites that draw in believers and tourists alike.
Start off your visit on the 17th (Sun): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Baliharachandi Temple, enjoy the sand and surf at Puri Beach, steep yourself in history at Bedi Hanuman Temple, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Konark Sun Temple, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Ramachandi Temple.
