Known as the "Pink City" because of the color of the stone used for many of its notable structures, Jaipur draws visitors with its chaotic street life and a slew of colorful bazaars selling everything from handmade pottery to tie-dye scarves.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Govind Dev Ji Temple and Moti Dungari Temple. The adventure continues: get the lay of the land with Walking tours, see the sky in a new way at Jantar Mantar - Jaipur, admire the striking features of Jal Mahal, and look for gifts at K.L. Jewellers.

New Delhi to Jaipur is an approximately 2.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. In September, daily temperatures in Jaipur can reach 40°C, while at night they dip to 28°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Mon) to allow enough time to travel back home.
