Padang Padang Beach, Pecatu

3.3
#1 of 8 in Outdoors in Pecatu
Experience a day of relaxation and activity at Padang Padang Beach, a stretch of coastline where the sand is white, the sea is blue, and the whole scene is neatly framed by rock formations. Head out into the waters to soak up one of the most famous and popular surf spots in the region, or watch from the comfort of one of the beachside restaurants and bars. Well-known in the tourist and traveler scene, the beach can become very busy at certain times of the year, but the range of activities available and the scenery still make it an attractive choice. The beach is really nice, but the problem arises when it is so small and there are hundreds of tourists. It makes it hard just to find a place to lie on the beach. You have to pay to go down on the beach ended. You can buy food and drinks on the beach. Nice beach but too small for all the people.

To this beach have taken us a taxi. While you take the narrow stairs through the rocks, the tension rises more and more on the beach. You have to give only care that courtesy, then is a no other visitor of a bit tight between the crevices. Come down, you have a great view on the beach. The water is crystal clear and the sand is really fine. Unfortunately it is really full in the afternoon and the place on the small beach is then quite closely. There are a few small stalls where you can buy a few shirts or scarves. Also you can go eat and there is also a shower and toilet. But everything's very adventurous and not of great luxury. Liked us in each case and we will visit again on our next visit to Bali, this beach. Have but only 4 out of 5 points awarded because I the rip-off of the taxi driver on the way back to Sanur found already outrageous. Because you can't get away without taxi, the price is right once almost doubled. So little hint: who dares to the left-hand traffic, should rent a scooter and drive!

1000 parking fee for your bike and a 10,000 fee to enter. Beach is small and does get pretty crowded. Umbrellas go for 100,000 to rent for the day. During low tide its pretty but quite impossible to go for a swim so i suggest coming at high tide. Not the best beach we've been to in the area

4 stars mostly for the landscape on low tide. Be sure to arrive early because the place gets packed. Try out the local food being serve at Lunch time. The beach is rather small and has a lot of surfers.

Exotic beach. Through the small cave to get to the beach. Nice spot for relaxing, enjoying sunbath and playing surf

Not so hidden gem but definitely must go! The water is still clear and the sand is still white! Not recommended for seniors and wheelchair users cause you need to go thru dark, narrow and steep steps to reach. The size of the beach is relatively small so you can easily watch your kids. 1 or 2 hours is enough to spend here

Good for surfers, not for swimming. Beautiful bite-sized white sand beach, very good for surfing but awful for swimming as it's too rocky. There's small entrance fee (10K per person) but in return you get free toilet and shower. Beware of taxi drivers here, they will definitely rip you off as there's no transportation option here. They fight Uber and Grabtaxi cars and make them run away. Book beforehand with your Uber driver or better; rent bikes.
