Bingin Beach, Pecatu

4.2
#2 of 8 in Outdoors in Pecatu
Test your surfing skills at Bingin Beach, known for its demanding breaks and dramatic coastal scenery. Surrounded by rugged cliffs, this unpretentious beach remains a favorite for experienced surfers and others interested in escaping the usual Bali experience. Shallow reefs make this spot unsuitable for novice surfers and swimmers, though you can sign up for lessons at several nearby beaches, where they provide less demanding surfing conditions and access to good amenities. You can drive to this beach from the area's airport in about 30 minutes. Prepare to walk rocky paths between the road and the water by wearing sturdy shows suitable for rugged terrain. • This is a very nice beach to be. Lots of waves for surfers but enough space if you only want to lay down and relax. There are a couple of restaurants and you can spend the day. Sunset is also beautifu...  more »
  • Loads of trash and the beach is too small. There are few warungs selling drinks and surf schools too but it seems that they are all disinterested in making business.  more »
  • It takes few minutes walk to reach the beach after parking the vehicle. It’s a simple beach especially for surfers. It had strong waves and swimming is quite hard. Take a pair of good shoes as the bea...  more »

  • We are in the heart of Bingin beach, feet in the sand and facing straight towards the ocean and sunsets. It's important to understand that Bingin is a cliff village, and since we are beachfront, there are quite a lot of stairs to come down to our home stay. When you first arrive, you will have to walk down some narrow alley ways and if you are new to Bali, you will probably question if you are in the right place. . . but don't worry, eventually the alley ways open up to incredible ocean views. People always say it's worth it :)
  • Nice beach, but there's a lot of reef so not great for swimming and better for more experienced surfers. Beautiful sunsets & local family business set up tables for dinner on the beach front and serve freshly caught seafood - very dreamy atmosphere!
  • A must visit beach when in Bali. I visited a dozen beaches specifically on the West coast which where swamped with trash. This beach is one of the cleaner ones I visited. It’s a great surfing beach with intermediate waves easily surf able by beginners. Be sure to book one of the many places on the cliff face above the beach. Although trekking with luggage is difficult the views are worth it. There’s a number of laid back restaurants on the beach and at sunset a number of spots have fresh fish on barbecue which is just superb.
  • This is a part of dreamland park named also dreamland beach the beach is like his name so amazing good for swimming also surfing specialy for the beginners the water is so clean there is also a mini restaurant there also a public market
  • Steep hike to get to and not much of a beach at all. Rocky and big waves. More of surfer hangout than hangout beach for avg tourist. Great sunset though amd there are a few restaurants on the sand to enjoy the sunset.
