Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum)

4.4
Admire Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, the richest temple in the world, famous for its treasure contained in six underground vaults. The origins of the ancient temple complex remain unknown, with some structures dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries. Still not completely explored, the temple vaults are estimated to contain more than $22 billion in gold and precious jewelry. • It is an awesome experience. Everything is fine well maintained I like it very much. The most amazing attraction of this place is the great statue of Lord Vishnu which I think is made of gold. This is one of the oldest temple in this state. It was good almost 400 to 500 years ago and yes everything is awesome and it makes me thinking about the ancient sculptures of Hinduism
  • Richest temple of the world dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple is at the heart of the city. Structurally it's beautiful and ancient looking. The entry time is restricted and you have dress code and electronic items not allowed inside. Overall you get a very divine feeling when you enter the premises itself. Very approachable from the railway station, bus stand and the air port. Don't miss out on visiting this temple if you ever come to Trivandrum.
  • It's Lord Vishnu temple. Nice compound. U can enjoy the traditional dance and music inside. But the only problem is u have wear dhoti to go inside. Dhoti is available in the cloak room. Men has to wear dhoti and no shirt or banyan. And women has to wear saree , long skirt or dhoti.
  • One of the richest Temple in the world. The structure is huge and worth watching. There is a general line and a special line by paying certain amount. The Temple is that of Lord Vishnu and the lord is in a lying posture. The statue is so huge that it has before it three doors and the public has to view from a distance. There is not much lightning near the statue, so one can not see very clearly. However it is a God ‘s place and one feels eternal peace and happiness by visiting the Temple.
  • This is a very nice temple. I like its architectural brilliance. Despite being the richest temple in the world, it has very limited facilities. The toilets are not adequate and the temple maintenance is very poor. The temple pond is in a shabby condition. Also, the rules for entering the temple need to be tweaked for the convenience of the people. Electronic gadgets are not allowed inside the temple which is fine but this information should be available before the cloak rooms. This avoids people returning from temple entrance for very small things like ear phones etc and again joining the queue. The dhoti system should be revised. The temple administration should consider wearing a shirt along with dhoti. We are living in modern world and we need to change certain rules. This is my personal opinion and sorry if I hurt some.
