Take a lazy day out amidst greenery at Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Botanical Gardens, a vast pleasure landscape garden complex at the foothill of Zabarwan mountain range, overlooking the scenic Dal Lake. Spanning 80 hectares (198 acres), the gardens feature over 300 species of ornamental plants, a huge variety of oaks, as well as Kashmiri tropical plants among others. Walk amidst wild orchids and roses, cedar and willow trees or take a joy ride with a boat on the lake and enjoy views of the forested mountain slopes. Established in 1969 in memory of the country’s first prime minister, the complex also features a children’s playground with merry go rounds and seesaws.   This is very beatiful garden, which is near tulip Garden. But we visited in January Month, that time it was dry. Better to plan in the month of Jun or July.  more »

  this is large botanical garden in srinagar.one big lake is here .so many big trees like oak and willow are here.entry ticket is 20 rs only.so many varieties of plants in this garden.we spent 2 hours h...  more »
