  • Nice place to visit and roam around leisurely. Good collection of flora and fauna; each plant/tree have a name board of its English name and Scientific name and some more details. You can take lots of photos and enjoy the calmness and richness of nature around you. You will see many College/school students visiting the premises. If you are a Botany enthusiast or/and a nature lover; then it is a must visit place and you will definitely admire the campus. It has got toilets which are neatly maintained. Right outside the gate you will see a Tibetan market for shopping variety of clothing and warm wear. You have good eat outs and refreshments just outside the campus.
  • Opened in 1847, this is one of the oldest and largest botanical gardens in India. We went what could probably be in a very busy time period and the garden was jam-packed with visitors. Many came to have a picnic on the many spots on the various lawns. December is Winter time so the flowers were not in bloom - our host apologized for that and told us how the garden transforms in season. Many of the glass houses were closed, but we could enter the fern one which had a variety of ferns from all over. There was a sign for a Japanese garden, but that seems to have closed down. Plants and trees are well named with their botanical names. Wherever one looked, people were taking photographs of either the flora or themselves with the many wonderful areas to shoot pictures at. The food store inside was very reasonable with their prices. The garden is well maintained and staff could be seen working at different points in the garden.
  • The atmosphere there will be pleasing because of the surrounded trees and plants... Also the walk through the park will be energising and blissful. The aroma of the plants and flowers and the tweeting of the birds will make you feel that you are in heaven.... A small nap over there in the heavens park will be refreshing.. Best suited for families , friends and also the couples or lovers behave decently.... !!! A whole day you can spend at 35rupees....!!! Don't miss it...!!!
  • Nice place to time pass with family. Also very good for couples... And best for people who love to explore trees, herbs etc... I can't say how many types of trees are present there. Neat and clean garden. Greenery and scenic beauty are everywhere.....
  • Such a vaaast garden! Good place to kill time! Just take a walk around the garden, takes more than an hour, get you tired too. Keep your water bottle with you, you'll need it how much ever slow you walk, you'll feel thirsty. As the name suggests, you'll see botanical names (and their origin) of many plants in the garden but that's on just 10-15% of the plants. They gotta do this on all the species! Maintained decently, best seen in the spring and early summer! Mind blowing collection of flowers would smile at you all through the way! Huge lawns inside, keep taking rest under the warming sun at this chilled garden. They have restrooms inside, not so bad! Maintained to some good extend. You can purchase oils and spices grown at local houses, the self-help woman organization sells it inside the park. Buying there would directly help the local households! Scenic garden, if you're with your partner, you'd love to take pics at every place here. There was a glasshouse with plenty of flowers inside, now its permanently closed. Good place spend time with family especially if kids are there.
