Architectural Building Historic Site
Marvel at one of the nation's most renowned mausoleums at Humayun's Tomb, a World Heritage Site displaying a fusion of both Mughal and Persian architectural features. Built in 1565 on orders from Akbar, the son of the Emperor Humayun, the mausoleum represents the first in a long line of "garden-tombs" that defined Mughal architecture over the following centuries. You can admire the intricate red sandstone and white marble construction, topped with an impressive dome, as you wander the extensive grounds dotted with shrines and monuments. Enter the memorial to get a glimpse of Humayun's final resting place. Many of the architectural designs used on the tomb and its surrounding buildings helped to inspire the Taj Mahal. • This is an architecturally beautiful mausoleum built by the same architect who built the Taj Mahal. You can't go inside but you can sit in the gardens and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere  more »

  • A place reminds visitors of history and legacy, one of the best place to visit in Delhi. The vision of the tomb from the entrance is just spectacular. Humayun's Tomb is surrounded by lush green gardens where you can spend plenty of time with your friends and family.
  • A clean and historical monument which is a must watch when you come to delhi. There are total of 3 4 tombs together in one large piece of land which is beautifully developed. Green lawns and humongous trees increase the beauty of all the buildings. Also there is one small Museum where some precious parts of history are kept which were found in diggings. Overa its a must see and go early in the Morning to avoid crowd and to take some good snaps.
  • It was an majestic place. The calm of the surroundings and the long walk to the tomb takes you in a historical trance. Fitting for a nawab of a kingdom. Both as a history buff and a tourist I really liked this place
  • The place is beautiful. The architecture of Mughal Empire is portrayed in this epic structure so beautifully. If you are visiting Delhi this is place you must see. The lush green gardens adds to the beauty of place.
  • As you all know, this fort is one of the mughal emperor`s fort. It is beautifully made, it has greenery all around. I don`t know if any food court is nearby or not. It has a parking area and it also has entry tickets like other places do. You can take cool shots with your friends, silhouettes, perspective etc.. you have to visit the place at afternoon beacause nearly 6-7pm the authorities will call you off the premises. All over a nice place
