4.0
#3 of 8 in Nature in Nainital
Enjoy a great view of the Himalayas, the countryside, and Nainital city from Tiffin Top (Dorothy's Seat), an observation point and a popular picnic spot on Ayarpatta Hill. Standing at 2,292 m (7,520 ft), the stonework bench at the station offers sweeping views of the hills with snow-capped peaks in the background. Built by a British colonel in memory of his wife Dorothy in 1936, the observation point offers inspirational views for painters and photographers. The trail to the top, which spans about 4 km (2.5 mi) from Nainital, meanders through rugged hills with lush greenery. Horseback rides can be arranged at Barrapathar, while more adventurous visitors can get their kicks with rope-sliding activities. • Well, such places exists in any hill station. Nothing special here too. One can get a bird's eye view of the valley and surrounding mountain ranges. Spend some time here admiring the great Himalayan foothill beauties. Usually the place remains crowded with people as this is a popular place and part of local sight seeing.
  • Amazing Street and view of mother Nature is mesmerizing. High court and Himalayan View Point are also there. Roads are very clean and i would suggest to go for walks as taxi charges too much, and by walking you will feel the Nature.
  • Kids will enjoy. Don't go for horse ride. Trek on your own. They charge 750 for 2 hours. U can save your money and loose your fat if u trek. Those who can't walk can use horse. Pay them 100 extra at end
  • Enclosed by the volcanic emerald Lake Nainital is one of the largest towns and is one of the most talked about place. This is one of the best tourist places in India. It involves a lofty forested valley around the namesake lake Naini. And if you are travelling with your best friends this is just the place for you. For explorers, it’s a simple spot to kick back and unwind, eat well, and go horse riding or paddling on the lake., Nainital is set in a valley containing a pear-molded lake, roughly two miles in boundary, and encompassed by mountains and is blessed with the best scenic views
  • Provide you a memorising n complete view of Nanitital Track via Sherwood school is very adventurous (specilly if going through shortcuts) Although It is full of risk too......... You Can also hired pony from backside of hill @₹300 ( here you can get experience of horse riding at narrow and sloppy tracks)

Where to stay in Nainital

Nainital boasts a good number of accommodations, with the popular hill station combining the old and the new, the upmarket and the simple across its slopes. Many of the more refined options occupy commanding positions by the lake, or use height to their advantage, gaining extensive, postcard-worthy views up the hill to the northwest. Mall Road remains the place to look for the majority of accommodations in town, with a fair set of hotels, homestays, and guesthouses.
