  • Nominal entry fee was there. It was a beautiful palace. You have to remove your shoes outside to enter the palace.Darbar hall was too good. Food park also available in the palace premises.  more »

  • Great place to visit. Its definitely worth visiting when you are in Mysore. There is ample parking space available. The palace has two parts to visit, one is the main palace area that you see from outside and another is residential museum, located near the exit path from shoe stand. For visiting both areas requires you to leave your shoes outside and main palace area quite big so be ready for a walk without shoes. Residential part is quite small, there is a guide available for Rs. 250 but its not worth it as tour is very short. I would rather advise to get an Audio Guide instead if you have to have a guide. Audio guide costs around Rs.180 or so. Complete visiting takes around 2 to 2.5 hrs. There is also an electric vehicle ride around the palace, do try it, its fun. Charges are around Rs. 20 per person . Its a 15 minutes ride. If you visit late afternoon then you might be there around evening to witness same place in artificial lighting which gives a good view.
  • Just loved the place. A magnificent, well maintained (must add) palace. You can get the total info of the royal dynasty once you enter the palace. At night when they light up the whole palace from outside it's totally out of this world which can't be explained with words. Please your eyes by visiting the place in person or admiring the photos I have enclosed within 🙂.
  • Amazing place to visit. Very beautiful green road while approaching the palace. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Earlier outside gate two many shops were there, now all removed so looking very clean and quiet. Parking is good and spacious. this place is exceptionally beautiful, with large courtyards and truly royal interiors that is uniquely Indian with a British touch. The palace is a must-see in Mysore and try to go on a Sunday evening just before 7pm when they turn on 100,000 light bulbs... Fully rich and beautiful it is!
  • Must see, a beautiful part of our history, very well maintained. Wood work gifts and many more stuff which are made by the people of Mysuru. Very well maintained place with parking and food facilities. It got very crowded but the beauty of the palace compensated for everything. The paintings and work of art are very well preserved. The ceilings are exotic as well. Parking space is ample and we need to go into the palace barefoot.
  • Mysore palace is a must place to visit for all those who come to Mysore as tourist. It is part of our heritage and give a glimpse into lives of erstwhile rulers of this state (Mysore was a separate state until 1956). All the effects and artifacts of previous kings and queens are neatly preserved and displayed to public. A nominal fee is charged which goes into payment of caretakers and maintenance of the palace. I specially like all the paintings on the wall and details over the roof. It is really breathtaking. I just wish people appreciate it more. Last but not the least, DO SEE THE LIGHT SHOW IN THE EVENING! In my opinion that is the best way to culminate your Mysore trip. I understand that would mean delay in getting to Bangalore on time but if you can manage it then do it.
