Gulaba, Manali

4.1
Play in the snow and observe picturesque mountain scenery at Gulaba, a village some 6 km (3.6 mi) from Rohtang Pass, located at some 4,000 m (13,123 ft) above the sea. When Rohtang Pass is closed in winter season, people use Gulaba for alternative skiing and winter sports, as the area offers a snow cover almost year round. Watch icicled cascades looking like frozen waterfalls, wild plants, and crystal-clear Beas River, or hike in pristine nature just 20 km (12.5 mi) from Manali main station. A narrow road and huge boulders above it provide for a breathtaking journey from Manali. • Breathtaking views from here, this is a beginners level trekk path, the path is amazing with tall trees and extremeley beautiful snowclad mountains all around. People should take more care of this beautiful place and not litter the natural place with plastic bottles and wrappers.
  • A campsite which is the starting point of many treks like brighu lake trek. Beautiful scenery. Nice place near Manali on the way to rohtang pass.

The village is designed and manned as per the guidelines of National Green Tribunal Act.[1] Gulaba has all the relevant equipment and computerized system to ensure good tourism management.[2] Gulaba has mobile toilets units and an effective waste disposal system.
