Castle Architectural Building
Perched atop a mountain ridge, Amber Fort impresses visitors with its imposing Hindu architecture of towering ramparts constructed from distinctive red sandstone. Built in 1592, the complex occupies a spot on the World Heritage List, along with several other hill forts in the region. Enter through the Sun Gate, a grand entryway to the fortress' main courtyard. Explore the many different sections within the walls, which include a temple and several halls with intricate ceiling decorations and expansive gardens. • This place is a must visit. The fort is huge, grand and oh-so beautiful. It has a unique barren charm and a very rich history that lends this fort and legendary mystical feeling. There is a lake right outside the palace which shines like mirror from the top of the palace. You can see the whole of Jaipur from up there. The light and sound show at night is beyond amazing and must not be missed. The road leading up to the fort is narrow hilly road and there is usually a traffic jam. So, it's advisable to reach there at opening time.
  • Excellent place to visit. We got a very good tour guide who showed us around the places telling stories for all location. Visit with adequate time at your disposal if you also want to go to nearby hill top through tunnel.
  • This is a unique place to visit in India. If you take an elephant ride, in the line you will have people trying to sell things to you. If you buy something while you are in line you will have that person chase you up the hill while you are on the elephant trying to sell you more things. If you want to buy anything do it on your way out! Also make sure to appreciate the views and the architecture!
  • Its really an amazing place to visit. It lets you know about the rich rajputi culture and lifestyle of the kings .its beyond imagination to visit this beautiful fort . It has fabulous sites for photography too. Plan your visit here as fast as you could. You would surely enjoy !!!
  • Extraordinary place. Truly a World Heritage Site. Just a suggestion - If you are coming here for the first time, you must hire a guide, whom you'll get at the main entrance. There are many hidden roads inside the fort. Do not try to go there alone.
